Start with Ph.Doctor — rebuild your skin's lipid barrier
When you decide to start your Ph.Doctor routine, your first priority should be strengthening and rebuilding the skin's lipid barrier. That's the foundation of everything — calming inflammation, nourishing and hydrating the skin. To begin with, get these products: the Gentle facial cleansing emulsion, Osmogel Precleanser, Tetra C Serum, Lipid facial cream and one of the SPF creams — SUNSET AR SPF 50+ or SUNSET SPORT SPF 50+. Wear SPF 50 every single day, summer and winter alike.
Your morning routine with Ph.Doctor
1️⃣ Cleanse your skin
👉 Gentle facial cleansing emulsion
The foundation of everything. Wash away leftover sebum and sweat so your skin is clean and ready for the rest of your routine.
2️⃣ Apply antioxidant protection
Vitamin C shields the skin from free radicals, evens out your skin tone and supports collagen production.
3️⃣ Hydrate your skin
It reinforces the skin barrier and prevents excessive water loss. If your skin is oily, you can skip this step now and then.
4️⃣ Apply SPF
👉 SUNSET AR Day Face Cream with SPF 50+
This is the most important step of all. Protect your skin from UV radiation, premature ageing and dark spots.
Your evening routine — double cleansing is key
Falling asleep in make-up or leftover SPF speeds up premature ageing. It can also flare up existing skin concerns and break down your lipid barrier. That's why cleansing at night really matters.
Always start the evening with Osmogel Precleanser. It's an osmotic gel based on ultra-pure water that removes make-up and UV filters beautifully. It suits every skin type, including sensitive skin, and it's safe for contact lens wearers.
Your evening routine, step by step
1️⃣ Remove your make-up
Apply a small amount of gel to dry skin, gently work it over your face and rinse off with lukewarm water.
2️⃣ Cleanse your skin
👉 Gentle facial cleansing emulsion
Apply one pump to the dry skin of your face and neck and cleanse for at least a minute.
3️⃣ Apply antioxidant protection
Apply a single drop of serum to clean, dry skin.
4️⃣ Hydrate your skin
Once the serum has absorbed, apply a pea-sized amount of the lipid cream.
After 3–4 weeks
After roughly three to four weeks of rebuilding your lipid barrier, you can move on to more advanced care. Consider adding:
- FACE & BODY RetinALL Cream with stable form of retinal 0.05%
- RetinALL IN ONE Face cream with stable form of retinal 0.1%
- Lactic acid 12% Face and body peeling
How do you choose the right retinoid?
If you're not sure which one to go for — RetinALL 0.05% or RetinALL IN ONE 0.1% — Ph.Doctor has written a detailed article on exactly that. Read it here: https://phdoctorlab.cz/blogs/ph-doctor-beauty-blog/co-je-retinal-a-pro-koho-je-vhodny
The important thing is to introduce retinoids gradually. Once your skin has built up tolerance to one of them, you can start alternating it with the Lactic acid 12% Face and body peeling. One word of caution: never use retinol or retinal on the same day you use the acid.
How to use the Lactic acid 12% peeling
Use it once or twice a week in the evening on clean, dry skin. Leave it on for 5 to 15 minutes (start with five) and then rinse off with lukewarm water. It may tingle or sting slightly at first — that's completely normal.

Always do a patch test first!
If you've ever had an allergic reaction to a cosmetic product (swelling, redness, burning, hives, eczema), always patch test before using a new product for the first time. Here's our guide on how to do it.
